Why I am looking for a Labrador Retriever :
We are really excited to welcome anew dog to our family. Labradors are known good with families. A dog the kids and I can interact with and give lots of love to and hopefully train to do some tricks. We have a lot of open space 2 minutes walk away where we go for long walks and is perfect for doggy walks. So we would like an active but friendly loving dog, we can love and play with. I also did not want to get a dog breed that is known to suffer health problems due to over breeding.
A typical day for my new dog would be:
We would bring the dog for a walk in the morning when I walk my son to school. The dog could also have sometime in the garden while we get ready if it needed toilet, etc. I work 9.30-4. 4 days a week. My son goes to college just 3 days a week. So on the 2 days that no one would be home, doggie can come to the office with me, it’s my joint business, there is a large garden and would mean the dog wouldn’t be alone for long periods of time.
We would enjoy an evening walk in the woodland area near our home.
I will need to make sure to consider our cat Athena when puppy comes so we will give them their own space to get used to each other. Puppy will most likely have the kitchen so the cat can get used to it.
We will leave the dog for short periods so that it can be alone, but it mostly won’t need to be.
My cat has a special diet due to reflux so I am interested to talk to the breeder to see what food the dog is used and works for it, to keep it happy and healthy.
We also want to spend time training puppy.
We are really excited to meet our new member of the family.
