Why I am looking for a Flat Coated Retriever :
We had a dog before. He was a Flat-Coated Retriever cross with a Labrador. Unfortunately, due to a freak accident, he is no longer with us. I want the same breed with labrador cross if possible.
We both fell in love with him, even though he was not with us long. We have both fallen in love with this type of dog and will be actively looking for a puppy in September, after our holiday,
A typical day for my new dog would be:
My husband is retired so the dog will have plenty of long walks each day. We live in a rural area so there are plenty of places to take him/her. We have a large secured garden so he/she will have sufficient space to play and run about. I bought a paddling pool for the last dog, so if the weather is hot, the pool will be available in the garden.
In some cases, the dog will need to get used to being taken out in the car, if on his/her holidays or to go walking further away from the usual areas.
A wicker bed, soft cushion, and plenty of toys are waiting to be used again.
