Why I am looking for a Cocker Spaniel :
Our dog, Benji, was a working cocker spaniel, highly intelligent with a lovely temperament and a great character and a well-loved member of our family.
A typical day for my new dog would be:
I have worked from home for a number of years. My husband is also now primarily based from home, so a dog would not be left on its own for any long periods of time. Our daughter is also still living with us.
Daily weekday exercise routine would be to go for a walk first thing in the morning. The route takes about 40 minutes through a local park and then again in the evening.
We have a large, secure garden, so there is plenty of room to play, and we live near to the countryside, so it is easy for us to head off for muddy walks across fields, meeting up with our sister's two cocker spaniels.
Sleeping arrangements - we have a cage which our dog used to sleep in, he did have the run of the house, but was not allowed into the bedrooms. We would continue with these arrangements for our next dog.
