UPDATE November 2022 We are super excited to announce that Nancy has had a successful mating and expect puppies to be born around Christmas.
We have owned and loved Flat Coat Retrievers since 2004. Our first was a stunning liver boy called Archie from the Casblaaid lines and who we miss dearly. Our second was Maggie (Doongate Bombay Sapphire) who we sadly lost to cancer in January 2017. Maggie was 10 when we lost her and such a sweet black girl who continued to have funny 5 minutes running madly in circles right to the end which is why it came as such a dreadful shock when we found there was nothing we could do for her.
MAY 2020 UPDATE It is was with great sadness that we lost Rusty (Spiritheart's Sugilite) also the same as we lost Archie and Maggie to the most devastating disease of Cancer. It was only hours before losing Rusty and she crossed the rainbow bridge that she was living life to the max for that we are greatful.
We still have Rusty's daughter Nancy - (Rustyriver House of Fun). Nancy is now 6. We kept Nancy from Rusty's 1 and only litter and is the double of her mum. I had been showing Nancy before lockdown and she did very well given we were both novices. She was awarded best puppy in breed and reserve best of breed at her 1st show which was the Flat Coat Retriever breed show at Coventry and qualified for crufts 2018 when she came 1st at the southern counties championship show so we are delighted with how well she did but foremost she is a loving member of our family getting all the love and cuddles she can get (which is never enough!)
We also now have a new and most welcome puppy, Eadie (Bonnyhilbrae Love's Delight) and she comes from a long line of UK and International show champions however due to covid, lockdown and personal issues I have not been able to start her show career. Eadie has the most fun loving character and makes us laugh with her crazy antics daily. She has the most beautiful female face with dark eyes to match her stunning black coat. She is very responsive and loves nothing more than to dig or splash about in water, she is a true water baby.
