Staffordshire Bull Terriers are rugged, energetic and impulsive. They are people-oriented, craving companionship and wanting to be with you all the time. They require rigorous exercise as an outlet for their high energy levels, but are not a breed that should run loose at the local dog park as some may show aggression to other dogs, particularly if challenged.
Stubborn and sometimes headstrong, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is inclined to test for position in the family pecking order. Confident leadership and obedience training are musts.
