The puppies will be born beside my bed and then moved into the kitchen, where they quickly get used to all the household noises typical of a busy country farmhouse. When they are around 5 weeks old, they will start to experience our purpose-built enrichment room, where they will encounter different sights, sounds, textures, and levels. They will also enjoy the freedom this area offers to explore as a litter. Outside, they will have enrichment areas on grass and gravel. From there, we begin introducing early litter training, early crate training, early introductions to the car, and new people and dogs. This allows the puppies to explore and play in a spacious environment. Our Early Development Puppy Play Area is designed to support early stimulation and cognitive development in young puppies. Studies on early neurological stimulation in puppies confirm that one of the most critical periods for stimulation is between 4 and 16 weeks of age. Research has shown that non-stimulated pups may become fearful of unfamiliar objects and withdraw rather than investigate. Even well-bred puppies with superior pedigrees could grow up preferring the safe environment of their kennels/crates, making them more difficult to train. Our Puppy Play Areas, coupled with stimulating puppy toys, introduce puppies to different textures, sounds, and experiences that help develop their nervous systems. We understand the importance of raising stable, well-adjusted, and confident puppies, so we expose them to many different sounds and textures during their early weeks to give them a great head start. The puppies will be weaned onto Fish4Dogs dry kibble. Before leaving us at 8 weeks, your puppy will have received the best start in life and will be well-socialized. They will have followed a strict worming program and been treated with Frontline at 6 weeks to prevent fleas. The puppies will also be microchipped at 6 weeks and vet-checked as close to 8 weeks as possible. Please feel free to contact us with any questions I haven't already answered in my ad.
