I am looking for a girl.
Why I am looking for a Basenji :
My grandmas first dog was a basenji and she loves the breed and is desperate to have her own dog again as she has always owned dogs, from small basenji to big alsations.
A typical day for my new dog would be:
Wake up to lots of fuss and love and breakfast. My grandma is retired so our new dog will not be left alone for long periods of time. They will also have a playmate, goose, who is a wonderful collie cross New Zealand hunt away, whom has been socialised at puppy classes and with other friends dogs. This being said we will introduce them slowly at first so they are used to each other scents etc first (it's not our first rodeo:).) We live in a bungalow that has a spare room if they want quiet time away from us and plenty of space for several dog beds throughout the house, although I'm sure they will end up in either my grandma or my bed like Goose does. My grandma keeps fit with different exercise classes and I will also be available to take them out for plenty of exercise. Depending on the weather will depend on when walks will be as we will not walk any dog if it is too hot. The garden is fairly large and fully enclosed with lots of shady spots in the summer months, the patio doors are usually left open so goose (and our potential new pup) has free reign on whether they want to be inside or out. :)
