I am looking for a boy or girl.
Why I am looking for a English Springer Spaniel :
Brought up with various breeds of working dogs as a child and adult including Springer. I have worked a as an Animal Care Assistant in Rescue Kennels where we had Springers from time to time, and spent time doing scent work to keep them stimulated. I love their nature and zest for life. I know its very hard to tire a Springer out! I enjoy the countryside/seaside and going for long walks and would like to have a Springer (or two) to take along too. I do not work so am around all the time. Am particularly interested in a Girl but may consider a Girl and a Boy and my preference would be for Black & White puppies.
A typical day for my new dog would be:
An hour/hour-and-a-half walk around 9 a.m. regardless of weather (unless baking hot Summer weather). Once back home, time for a treat and dry off if necessary. If summertime, back door is left open so the dogs could go in and out at their leisure. Twice a week, I go to my Mother's and would take the dogs along. She has an equestrian property with two paddocks and plenty of room for the dogs to be off lead. Plenty of ball games and scent work to keep them busy and obedience training to use their brains. On other days, lots of cuddles and games. They would not be left alone too often as I would be keen to take them with me. Extended family and friends are all dog lovers so no issues with visiting. Their dogs beds would be in the living room but they would be free to roam the house.
