I am looking for a boy or girl.
Why I am looking for a Shetland Sheepdog :
I have researched and feel that a Sheltie would suit my life. I would like a dog who is affectionate, requiring lots of attention. I am retired and have time to spend with the demands of this breed.
A typical day for my new dog would be:
I am mainly at home alone throughout the day excepting for about an hour when I pop to the shops some days. I have a field to the side of my property and a small country park to the rear. My home has a direct access to a medium sized garden which is fully enclosed with a 6ft fence.
As with my previous dog Collie I would take her wherever I went. In the occasion that I was not able to be home my neighbours have always been willing to have my dog stay with them . I am exercise a dog four times daily totalling 3hrs in the winter and up to 4hours in Summer. I am happy for a dog to sleep in lounge on the sofa / there own bed or upstairs outside my bedroom door on own bed. I prefer not to allow a dog in the kitchen which is small for reasons of safety.
