Why I am looking for a Beagle :
They are the perfect size for us, we love their personality and they are a personal favourite of my wife. As we have kids, we need a dog that is full of energy and family friendly. We have a teenage daughter and a 9 year old son so they will keep the beagle occupied and help train the pup (as beagles need dedicated training). The beagle has a short coat that is easy to maintain and they love to howl, this makes them perfect for our family.
A typical day for my new dog would be:
In the early morning my teenage daughter will take the dog out for a quick walk (to use the toilet) and feed it. At 8, I will take the dog with me on a walk to drop my son off at school (30mins there and back). The dog spends the day in the company of my wife, they go on a long walk (1hr30), the dog takes a couple of naps, plays with my wife and gets fed some treats. At 2, I return and at 3 I walk the dog to pick my son up (another 30mins). By 3.30, the whole family is home, we feed the dog dinner and we spend the evening playing, relaxing and cuddling up on the sofa. At around 7, my daughter takes the dog for a quick walk (to use the toilet). By ten, my daughter has put the dog to sleep in the dogs own personal room downstairs.
