Why I am looking for a Labrador Retriever :
I have been lucky enough to grow up with Labradors and have always loved their gentle nature, loyal temperament and their love for the outdoors to suit my active lifestyle. I’m at a settled stage in my life (aged 30) and spend a great deal of time lot of time working from home (permanent fixture) and holidaying in the UK so I am really excited to have a companion to join me and my partner, and be a friend to my parents’ 7 year old black Labrador.
A typical day for my new dog would be:
Regular walks in the nearby woods in Highgate, North London and trips at weekends to the countryside to visit parents and siblings. My boyfriend and I work from home permanently and would have 1 day in the office maximum each (rotated), so the dog would never be alone for long periods of time. We have crate trained our dogs in the past and seen the benefits to their mental health (e.g. having their own cosy and safe space), so we would have a crate for night-time sleeping and when we are out for short periods, plus another bed in the room where we work.
