Why I am looking for a Border Collie :
We have previously owned 6 Collies. We love the fact they active, Intelligent and fun. We live less than 5 minutes walk to Old Hunstanton Beach which has no restrictions on Dogs. North Norfolk is probably one of the most dog friendly areas in the UK
A typical day for my new dog would be:
Be woken at 6am, breakfast for the dog, once allowed a one/ two hour walk on the beach (in all weathers!) with balls and the opportunity to swim if it likes water? If we go out anywhere, the dog will almost certainly accompany us, including holidays. Further walks in the afternoon or evening, followed by supper. Overall during the day we expect to provide 4/5 miles of outdoor exercise. We are both semi retired so there won’t be many periods where they are left alone. Like all our dogs it will probably sleep in our bedroom, but not on the bed! We’re fully aware of the commitment required for a puppy, so obedience training is definitely on the list!
