Why I am looking for a Lakeland Terrier :
I have had a Lakeland cross Patterdale, and love their energy, intelligence and playfulness. I have just lost my dog sadly, at the age of 13. I want to give another dog a loving home, and can offer the best life.
A typical day for my new dog would be:
Early morning walk in beautiful countryside, with plenty of choice whether it be forest, riverside, field. I work at home and my dog has access to a large secure garden to run around in.
Short lunchtime walk.
Long evening walk, as above.
Bedtime in a warm bed, probably in the kitchen, although my old lad liked to sleep upstairs on the landing.
My dog would have the opportunity to socialise with lots of other dogs.
On the rare occasions I have to be away, my dog would stay with my family, who also have paddocks and fields. My dog would only ever be left for a short time on his/her own, eg shopping trip. My dog would have at least two hours of walks every day, rain, snow or shine.
