Why I am looking for a West Highland White Terrier :
I have had my female Westie for 11 years. She has lived with Labs all her life and thinks she is as big as they are (and loves the water!) My son is leaving home with his 4 year old Lab, and I want her to have a companion. The Westie’s personality is what I love. Their laser-like attention, their playfulness, faithfulness and their big hearts!
A typical day for my new dog would be:
Well, get up, cuddle and play. Breakfast and playtime in the yard. Morning with my other Westie in the kitchen and sunny breakfast room. Midday walk and play. Afternoon in the kitchen and breakfast room (entertained by my dog loving cat). Late afternoon, a hike/ romp in the foothills, followed by dinner and an evening with me puttering in the garden or in the house. Love and cuddles while I watch a program. Last trip out to the yard before bed. Bed down in their own beds in the kitchen. Lots of outdoor hiking on weekends.
