Why I am looking for a Leonberger :
My partner has had large breed his whole life. We are now at the time in our life to welcome larger dog in to our family. We love the leonberger and their temperament. We live by a river, so perfect for this water loving breed. They are also beautiful, loyal and social able. We have the space and amazing walks where we walk on a daily basis.
A typical day for my new dog would be:
We have beds in the kitchen for our dogs, but also an area where they can go away to get away from us. When we first get a pup, we will spend time training as we want well behaved, well manner dogs. We already have 3 who have been through puppy training classes and I myself have trained dogs where I was a trainer at a local training school where I previously lived. Walk in the morning and then a walk in the evening. The dog would not be left alone for any great length of time. Our lives revolve around our dogs and we tend to take them away with us. If we do go away, then we have a very experienced dog sitter who we have been using for years who is very experienced with all breeds and we trust explicitly. Our dogs are very much part of our family and are at the centre in our lives.
